Posession & Cultivation Limits:

Grow for yourself.  State law allows patients or caregivers to grow up to six mature plants (12 immature) or possess up to eight ounces of useable marijuana. BUT WAIT! Each city or local municipality has the right to allow patients to possess and cultivate EVEN larger amounts (with your doctor's approval).  When traveling outside of your home, we recommend carrying an ounce or less, to avoid unnecessary complications with law enforcement at this time.

Where do I obtain medical marijuana in Nevada?

Grow for yourself.  You may grow up to 7 plants total;  3 mature (flowers and buds readily obsevable), 4 immature (no flowers or buds).  If you initially registered with a caregiver, we strongly recommend you inform the state of the change in writing, and hold onto a copy for your records.

Designate a Caregiver.  A registered caregiver may legally grow and distribute to just one patient.  Patients may grow for themselves, however, may not  grow for other patients; in other words, cannot themselves be caregivers for other patients.

How much medicine can I carry?

1 ounce useable

How to obtain a Nevada Registry ID card:

See your physician to obtain written recommendation and follow our links to the state registry.  If you know a good grower or caregiver, you can designate this person on your application.  You can always change your designation, but if you are new to growing, you will likely find it more convenient (and less frustrating) to learn from someone else in the beginning.  The equipment is expensive and the conditions must be monitored closely to get good results.

Costs:

$150, plus $15-42 in additional related costs
